Our GSA Division supports U.S. government embassy personnel around the world and plays a vital role in our long-term growth strategy. We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead this division, elevate operational performance, and strengthen our relationships with federal customers.
Position Overview
The General Manager leads a team of twelve logistics and support professionals and is responsible for operational execution, compliance, customer service quality, and program performance across CHAMP, DOS Tender, and ITGBL. This role works closely with executive leadership and has significant influence on process improvement, organizational direction, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing operations team
• Serve as the primary escalation point for day-to-day operational issues
• Maintain strong communication and partnership with U.S. State Department officials
• Oversee CHAMP reporting and quarterly filing requirements
• Approve weekly timecards, manage staffing levels, and balance workloads
• Collaborate with the EVP on escalated issues and strategic initiatives
• Support DOS Tender annual filings and ITGBL semi-annual submissions
• Review and approve invoices and maintain financial accuracy
• Drive process improvements, training, and operational efficiency
• Participate in customer engagement and sales efforts, including 2 to 4 annual trips to Washington DC
• Perform additional leadership responsibilities that support overall division success
Qualifications
• At least 5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or international moving
• Experience with GSA programs such as CHAMP required; ITGBL experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of international, customs regulations, import and export requirements, and documentation
• Proven skills in vendor and carrier negotiation
• Demonstrated leadership experience including hiring, coaching, performance management, and change leadership
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
