Approved Freight Forwarders has an immediate opening for a Director of Strategic Sales based out of our metro Los Angeles location. The Director of Strategic Sales is responsible for sales forecasting, productivity, analytics, CRM maintenance, among other sales support functions, and leading a team of sales professionals. 

JOB TITLE: Director of Strategic Sales  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute on the sales strategy and continuously enhance the sales process by modifying existing sales processes and developing new ones to create market growth while driving repeatable consistency across the business.

Work with business leaders to create new products and services to meet every market demand.  

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve sales efforts, ensure seamless alignment, and improve operational efficiency.

Manage complex projects or multiple projects of moderate complexity using standard project management methodologies.

Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals by elevating skills and establishing high standards for performance.

Report regularly to the Vice President of Sales on the health of our sales team and processes 

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
  • A minimum of 5 years in the transportation industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related  
  • Financial and business acumen 
  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • 3+ years experience directly leading a team

The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $175,000 / yr.
